Who we are

Break the Cycle Advocacy was founded with a mission to support children and families affected by domestic violence and to create meaningful change through awareness, advocacy, and education. My name is Michaela McHenry, and my passion for this work is rooted in personal experience and a commitment to ensuring that every child feels safe, supported, and heard.

I graduated from The Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. My experiences in advocacy, community engagement, and public service have strengthened my dedication to helping others and fueled my long-term goal of pursuing a career in child advocacy and law.

Break the Cycle Advocacy exists to provide support, raise awareness, and advocate for children and families impacted by domestic violence. We believe education, community involvement, and access to resources can help create lasting change and break cycles of abuse.

This organization is more than a cause to me — it represents hope, resilience, and purpose. Whether you are seeking support, sharing your story, or looking for a way to make a difference, you are welcome here. Together, we can build a future where every child feels safe, valued, and empowered.
